West Carmarthen

A residential-led development that forms part of a wider strategic allocation is West Carmarthen. 

CWA were appointed as part of a team on behalf of Persimmon Homes to create a masterplan which is fully in accordance with the council’s adopted Planning and Development Brief for this key allocated site.  

CWA, along with the rest of the team, used detailed technical analysis to form the key elements envisaged within the PDB, ensuring the development of the site would respond to the physical characteristics, topography and landscape setting of the site. 

All of the site credentials needed to be fully and properly considered as part of the design process, culminating in a sensitive, appropriate and development form, encompassing circa 630 new homes, with a range of house designs and sizes, a local centre, a new primary school and community and commercial facilities. 

A network of open spaces including two new linear parks, sports pitches and areas for informal recreation interconnected by a legible and convenient pedestrian and cycle network.
