One Canal Parade

One Canal Parade provides Grade A, high-quality specification office space in Cardiff’s City Centre, which is now being established as Cardiff’s prime office location.

The building comprises 60,000 sqft open-plan office space over 6 storeys, laid out in an ‘L-shaped’ arrangement. It is situated on the corner of Dumballs Road and Canal Parade, within the Cardiff Central Enterprise Zone. It is sited between Cardiff and Vale College and Fusion 2 and is considered to be commensurate in scale and a stepping stone between Fusion 2 and the college. 

Originally the building had consent for a different scheme but CWA retained its ‘L’ shape as originally envisaged and heavily glazed appearance, however, it is now modified to suit real-time market demand and sits more harmoniously with the college building adjacent, which was not an architectural influence at the conception of the original design.

Importantly the new design is further back into the site to allow the corner of the college building to be better witnessed from the city end of Dumballs Road. The original design would have somewhat eclipsed this.
