Llangyfelach, Swansea

Located in the southwest of Llangyfelach, it is one of Swansea City Council’s key strategic allocations for their LDP. 

On behalf of Llanmoor Homes, CWA help deliver a residential-led masterplan for approximately 1,950 new homes over a variety of tenures, a new 2.5-entry primary school and a local district centre containing convenience shops, a public house and restaurant and a village hall.  Furthermore, as part of the council’s aspirations, we preserved some key on-site assets that were integral to the design.  

The strategic masterplan fully responds to the characteristics of the site at a high level and addresses the principle of place-making, connectivity and character.  The development proposed enables delivery of this strategic site, and by association a significant number of homes, alongside the provision of a school, associated neighbourhood uses, a spine street and important open space, which accords with the development brief, and allows the benefits of the scheme to be shared with existing surrounding communities.
