Situated on one of the busiest routes through Cardiff City Centre, Newport Road is a key city gateway and this site is right on the connector footpath. 

Coffee Planet sits on a very constrained site measuring less than 100 sqm. The brief to CWA was simplicity - so the result is a simple honest box, which is visually recessive, relying more on the inside of the building to create an interesting and meaningful event. Whilst the outside is simply a black box with a large hole exposing the inside.
