Bracknell Road, Crowthorne (BP and M&S)

On behalf of Mumbles Group, CWA were commissioned to design and deliver a new Petrol Filling Station on a site that already had an existing PFS and car workshop.  

The site is located on a major arterial route through Crowthorne.  

CWA worked closely with the neighbours to mitigate any concerns they had and the result was a traditional-looking PFS, with a pitched roof structure and a material palette that was common to the local vernacular.   

The entrance is a gable-ended ‘porch’ that fronts onto the forecourt.  It is visually prominent from the main road and the use of stone piers adds robustness to the design. Due to the robust materials used within the scheme, extensive landscaping and trees have been planted to help soften the site.
